I don't watch a lot of television...and when I do, it's mostly movies. But I am completely unable to sit in front of the television and JUST watch it. I have to have at least a pen and notbook in hand. Tonight, we went to the movies, which has been one of my favorite things to do since I was a little kid, sitting through a summer of Disney double features. But, I think I've been ruined for it. I found myself getting antsy halfway thought the movie because I couldn't be drawing while watching. How sad!
Linking up to all the fun over at Sunday Sketches!
Oooh, I love your pen work. Such a nice dip and flow, reminds me of copperplate fonts. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I agree, unless it is a movie I have never seen before, it is really good to have something to do with your hands.
Best wishes,
Liz
Love the flowers and doodles!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent doodles ~ Wow! (A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteSo funny because I know what you mean. It's rare that I'm completely engrossed by something on TV, but when I am, I actually feel guilty that I'm not paying attention to my art. And my hands do end up feeling kinda naked! Anyway great flowers, especially the extensions (pistils?) that curve outward.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I understand about not sitting still. I'm constantly trying to think of ways to get in more art time.
ReplyDeletewonderful zendoodle!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand the need to doodle while watching too. Or I fall asleep!
ReplyDeletePretty tangle of flowers you did here too! HSS>
I do this too! always have some sewing or embroidery in my lap when watching anything. Just can't sit still. Your doodling is wonderful!!
ReplyDeletethis is wonderful
ReplyDeletei also do art if i watch something
i understand
I love the doodles today! Its so relaxing to draw while watching tv!
ReplyDeleteI get restless in front of the TV too - though the olympics has had me entrhalled!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers! I love how your lines go from thick to thin and back again...for some reason I always keep my lines uniform but I think I will take some inspiration from you and try this. I often draw while watching TV...
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful doodles! I TOO am a TV doodler. BUT my boys are on my case if we are watching a movie and, "MOM! You're not watching!" So I have to force myself to pay attention and keep the drawing in the studio. Only when we are watching a movie together, otherwise I am all over it!
ReplyDeletewow - seriously awesome doodles.
ReplyDeletecheers, dana
The only time I actually don't sketch, read, write with visual stimulation going IS at the movies. My husband will harp at me constantly at home if there's a Movie either on TV or that he baught/rented that he thinks I should see (or I wanted to see) and i'm not paying -enough- attention to it. I tell him I AM and I can correctly tell hi whats been going on and everything!
ReplyDeleteHe Just Doesn't Get Me!
I love the doodles and understand totally the itchy movie feeling... so many films just seem too long... at least with a dvd you can stop it for a cup of tea or something... sitting there always makes me edgy... not even chocolate buttons can take the edge off for me these days... I think it is a sign of an engaged mind... Sinus thinks it is ADHD... I think you should doodle next time... would be fun to see how it turned out in the low light!!!
ReplyDeletethe doodles look great.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed the movie, yes, next time bring your sketch book!
Love your zen doodle! Too bad you couldn't enjoy your movie but I guess there are worse things than wanting to be productive, lol! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteMolly this is fabulous. I love this one alot. Very nice. :)
ReplyDeleteI have the hardest time sitting still, too! :)) I haven't been to the movies since the early 90s. Yikes!! Love your doodles. :)))
ReplyDeleteEhehe! The same for me! I usually draw when watching movies! :))
ReplyDeleteSuper doodles! I can't sit and watch a movie without doing something either. I usually sew, but think I may have to give doodling a go too!
ReplyDeleteAsters tend to grow like teenagers--tall and gawky. Most varieties reach 2-4 feet in height; dwarf asters stay smaller, of course. Keep your asters under control by frequently trimming stray branches and spent flowers. protectandheal-dnu
