After a devastating heat wave last week, this week we have seen cooler temps and rain, rain, rain. It's lovely to see the flowers perking back up. Our lawn, despite frequent water last week, is still looking a little heat singed. I'm hoping that we will see some renewed lushness (is that a word? i'm fairly certain that lushiosity is not-- but it sounds so much better!) after all this rain.
Heading over to Paint Party Friday now for some fresh inspiration.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Hi, I stopped by from PPF.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting you've made. Yes, I hope the flowers and grass come back for you. And I hope it doesn't get so hot again. One can only wish.
Enjoy your weekend.
Love your painting. Hope all is green and beautiful for you. I love rain. Happy PPF.

ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely. It is so nice to see the grass and the flowers bloom again after it rains. It is raining here tonight and I know everything will look so much better in the morning.
ReplyDeleteYes no doubt the composition is beautiful
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your flowers :0) It's raining here too so hopefully things will look better tomorrow !
ReplyDeleteHow happily colourful your flowers are!
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteI was watering my lawn all day, the poor grass is so dry!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful!
These flowers are beautiful! I saw something similar to these on a steve madden purse today!! Yes lushness is a word! I have been using the word lush a lot since we have had so much rain! Everything is so beautiful and lush here in B.C right now. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
Same weather here. :) Love those fuzzy flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteHello Molly, how good for you to have some fresher weather, always seems to calm everyone down and so good for nature to have some rain. Love your happy bright flowers!
ReplyDeleteLove your summer flowers!! So fresh..
ReplyDeletewe are having the heat too, and this week we got a little rain. I love your pretty flowers! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! These look like snapdragons, which I love but can't seem to grow. I love seeing bunches of them in different colors, just like your painting. I think lushiosity should definitely be a word.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet floral painting!
ReplyDeleteDelightful!
♥♥♥
Happy PPF!!

I would be thrilled to see those vibrant flowers blooming in my garden! The hot weather has an impact here too and the flowers are struggling. Fingers crossed for rain!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! In the desert here so definite lack of lushness ;) May you get some rain soon! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteLushness away...sounds like it should be a word... lucky you heat wave, wish it would find it's way over here. Love your painting, very summery :D
ReplyDeleteLoving your flowers too! Same weather here, only add humidity and no wind to the mix! Icky and sticky! We finally have been getting some thunderstorms and rain, but it's not cooling down or taking away the humidity. So unusual for our area. I hope your garden recovers. P.S. LOVE the word Lushiosity!
ReplyDeleteI love your flowers - I am water color impaired so I am so admiring of lovely watercolor work. Hope your outdoor flowers recover - in Beaufort SC they say the flowers are "sun done" when there is too much heat.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! I just love these colors together...so bright and cheerful. I hope your yard returns to normal after the rain too. Oh, and a beach cruiser is a type of bike that is everywhere at the beach! :) Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful colorful array of flowers make me smile. Saw so many lovelies on our recent trip and took lots of photos...my pink very pink hydragenas are coming to an end of their season so clipped some and put in the house to dry and keep, hopefully.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF on Sunday!
What a lovely dreaing! I love the colors and the shadows! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd many lovely post below here! :)
Paint special color fresh, here are summer and flowers are are already withering. Saludos
ReplyDeleteYes, I think most of us will have to paint flowers this summer if we want any. Ours were burnt crisp, and now they are half drowned.
ReplyDeleteLove the lively feel of these.
Not sure how the flowers in your garden look but your painted flowers are quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty painting, it makes me smile :)
ReplyDeleteHi there!!! I love these flowers! Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment! I'm finally getting around to visiting some of the fabulous artists of PPF... have a great "rest of the week"!!!
