How does your garden grow?

After a devastating heat wave last week, this week we have seen cooler temps and rain, rain, rain.  It's lovely to see the flowers perking back up.  Our lawn, despite frequent water last week, is still looking a little heat singed.  I'm hoping that we will see some renewed lushness (is that a word?  i'm fairly certain that lushiosity is not-- but it sounds so much better!) after all this rain.

Heading over to Paint Party Friday now for some fresh inspiration.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  18. Beautiful! These look like snapdragons, which I love but can't seem to grow. I love seeing bunches of them in different colors, just like your painting. I think lushiosity should definitely be a word.

  23. Loving your flowers too! Same weather here, only add humidity and no wind to the mix! Icky and sticky! We finally have been getting some thunderstorms and rain, but it's not cooling down or taking away the humidity. So unusual for our area. I hope your garden recovers. P.S. LOVE the word Lushiosity!

  24. I love your flowers - I am water color impaired so I am so admiring of lovely watercolor work. Hope your outdoor flowers recover - in Beaufort SC they say the flowers are "sun done" when there is too much heat.

  29. Yes, I think most of us will have to paint flowers this summer if we want any. Ours were burnt crisp, and now they are half drowned.

Love the lively feel of these.
