As expected, I've moved away from working through the list chronologically and instead have jumped ahead a bit based on whatever is piquing my interest in the moment. This delightful weather we've been having and the fact that we're just starting to see the first signs of the trees and landscape changing has had me focused on outdoors and, at the risk of speaking in giant cliches, the beauty of nature.

nice trees... we are in a weird tree stage where we have few deciduous trees as it is a bit hot for them usually, but in spring we have one that loses all its leaves... drives me insane... worth it for the rest of the year when it gives blessed shade from the heat, but boy is it driving me crazy at the moment...xx
ReplyDeleteI love it when the leaves change colors! Here we are still far from that, having temps in the 100 still.... but soon we will see that too :o)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercolor, love the first autumn colors! HPPF!
ReplyDeleteLovely trees, great use of colour. I look forward to our trees changing too. We have one maple which tends to change earlier and goes through a wonderful selection of colours, so your post has inspired me to draw that one. Thanks!

Nature is good for you! Enjoy! Love your fall trees. Our trees are all looking a little worse for wear here Northwest of Chicago, as hardly any snow last winter and very little water this summer with 44 days of above 90 degree temperatures!
ReplyDeleteI like that hint of Fall in your piece. I wish I could paint trees!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!

Pretty painting and I love your header painting as well! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteLovely trees! I especially like the curves and colors in the one on the right. We don't get much seasonal color change here. We're mostly pine, cypress and oak and none of those change. And we won't have any change at all for another month at least. I love to see the paintings and photos people post with all the fall colors.
ReplyDeleteI love watching the fall colors emerge. Great job capturing the first changes of color.
ReplyDeleteOur trees in back are losing their leaves a little to soon and they aren't pretty. Might be from the lack of rain since June. I am not ready for summer to end.. and I think summer isn't either since the temps have been high eighty's and ninety lately. HPPF
ReplyDeleteThat'sa really good work.
ReplyDeleteReally good job.
ReplyDeleteLove your trees and the autumnal colours, just as I am getting excited about new spring growth!
ReplyDeleteOh Oh, a bit early for trees changing color. Yikes. I love your rendition. Blessings, Janet PPF
