Saturday... and I'm headed home!

It's been a productive and fun week in Atlanta but I'm ready to head home now.  Last night as my insomnia was at a fever pitch (and speaking of fever pitch-- how 'bout those Cardinals?!?!?!--what a season!), I spent some time just doodling away.

and now, trying to upload it before i hit the road, i've run into a few snags.  this week, i've been stuck with just taking pictures with my cell phone and sending themselves to myself to get them uploaded.  how do most of you upload your visuals of your art work?  Do you scan it?  Do you photograph it?  Do you do any editing before uploading?  Interested in any and all comments on the subject!

And don't forget to head over to Just Journals and Show and Tell Saturday and see what those amazing artists are doing this week!

Enjoy the weekend!!

  3. Cute list!
I take pictures with my camera, then edit it on picnik.com. I find that's the easiest way! Scanning takes longer! Patsy from

  4. I photo my art, then load on computer, crop, sometimes I adjust the lighting, then save as a smaller photo, then upload to my blog as smaller photo for ease of uploading and downloading for others. Some great advice there, espcially discover what you don't like. Ha.

  6. Great list, love all the colors. I typically photograph my artwork and then crop it before uploading it to my blog and etsy shop.

  7. This is just wonderful, and I would love to see it on a card!!! I almost always scan and then upload, but I usually take a photo as well, and occasionally they work out. I usually just pick which ever is best and do that, but for the work that I turn into prints and cards that I sell, I use a professional to scan them onto disc for me... it makes all the difference xx

  14. Nice. So attractive.
I find it easiest to take a photo then upload. Adjustments may sometimes be necessary to brighten up the photo.

  16. Love the colors and your lettering - esp. the mixed fonts! I photograph my art and clean up my lighting in photoshop but sometimes I do a bit too far with the color adjustments...

  17. Wonderful list. Great advice! I take several pictures, edit and then upload. My stuff is usually too big for the scanner so I forget about it when I make something small enough!

  19. I usually photograph. Sometimes scan..if the painting is on watercolor paper. I always photoshop because the photos never come out good right off the camera. It's a lot of work, but worth it.
